5 X 5: Chang Ming of Nope Fun

5×5 features five photographs from five photographers selected by a guest editor.

Chang Ming runs a well followed blog called Nope Fun. On his website Chang Ming features interviews and images from emerging photographers all around the world. In this debut 5×5 post – Chang Ming has selected: Jared Gaustad, Thomas Spieler, Daniel O’Donnell, Justine Reyes and Wang Wei.

I wanted to choose a series of photographs that have a common idea while evoking different feelings. How does the colour and texture in a picture create different moods. I sometimes ask photographers if they think content or aesthetics is more important in an image; in this series of pictures, the focus would be on the aesthetics and the effect it has on the viewer.
