Lintroller is pleased to present “When We are Together”, the first solo show by photographer Alex Thebez. The exhibition is comprised of photographs made between 2009 and 2013. A limited edition book will also be released in conjunction with the exhibition.
“When We are Together” is an exhibition of photographs documenting the intimate relationship of the artist with his partner in New York, and the traditional familial roles within his family in Southeast Asia. Through this documentation When We are Together contrasts and compares what it is to exist in, and travel between two opposing intimate relationships. Both the exhibition and the book create a narrative of nomadism, with the photographs detailing a disquieting separation yet familiarity with its subjects.
