Departing from a strictly black and white aesthetic, Anthony Tafuro’s recent series, “Gallow” explores the dynamic macho world of underground wrestling. The series features Jack Gallow, a 21 year old underground wrestler, as he struggles through his career.
Tafuro, who has always been interested in subcultures have photographed other niche sports communities. From roller derby girls, to satanic skateboarders, Tafuro has continued to scour the depths of American cultural landscapes for gritty, not often visible scenes.
