Capricious 88 is a gallery located on 88 Eldridge Street in Manhattan. The latest adventure in the world of Capricious, this space provides a platform for fine art photographers, with a focus on emerging careers. Our continued mission is to create new possibilities for those who not only push the boundaries of photography but also bring critical attention to social and political issues.
In the three years since shutting the gallery doors of Capricious Space in Williamsburg Brooklyn, we have primarily focused on book projects and publications, including Randy and the launch of two new magazines this past year, Girls Against God and Le Derrière Cri. Yet having the recent good fortune of meeting renowned gallerist Miguel Abreu, we were moved by his vision to create a lively co-habitated building of galleries and art publishing at 88 Eldridge Street. We jumped at the opportunity to participate, and are now honored to share the building with the expanded main gallery of Miguel Abreu and a new space for respected gallerist David Lewis.
