Osma Harvilahti’s work studies different forms of colour and composition structured by chains of ideas and narratives. Born in Helsinki, he has recently been working on various personal and commissioned projects around Europe and United States.
Harvilahti’s nomadic life allows him to photograph a variety of environments. From Kenya to the streets of New York, the persistence of Harvilahti’s vision allows him to not only maintain a very identifiable style, but also show the places he happens to be at the time in a new light. The colours of his images are vibrant, his compositions, striking and more than often, unexpected.
