“These images were created by double exposing rolls of 35mm film: once during rides along the no. 7 Local and again during walks along the line in Manhattan and Queens. The effect is meant to mimic the view from the windows of the train looking outside, in which the L.E.D. route designator is reflected in the window. Accompanying the double exposures are images of the train itself taken on these walks. All the images appear in order from Times Square to the no. 7 line’s terminus in Flushing, Queens.”
