Dorobek says little about his photographs. In his careful sequencing, Dorobek lets his images speak for themselves. Deceptively casual and mundane – Dorobek’s images carry a certain poetic weight to them. Human presence is often absent from Dorobek’s photographs. Instead, the viewer is left with the remains of human lives, captured in a seductive melancholic light.

A sigh of beautiful solitude echoes in the moments that Dorobek captures. While his photographs may instill a sense of loneliness in the viewer, Dorobek is firmly present as he lets us look at the world through his eyes for a moment.
